Program for March 25, the day of the beginning of the celebrations for the anniversary of the Foundation of the City of Venice

The “1600 Years Official Committee of the Venice Foundation” has defined the appointments for next 25 March, the starting day of the celebrations for the important anniversary of the city.
At 11 am inside the Basilica of San Marco, in conjunction with the solemnity of the Annunciation, Patriarch Francesco Moraglia will celebrate Mass. In order to avoid gatherings, the celebration will be broadcast live on television through the Antenna 3 network and the Gente Veneta Facebook profile.
At 4 pm the whole Patriarchate of Venice will remember the founding of the city. For this reason all the parish priests were invited to ring the bells at 4 pm on the aforementioned day to celebrate the 1600 years of Venice.
At 6.30 pm Rai will pay tribute to the city by broadcasting an evocative special dedicated to Venice on Rai 2 with which, through images and music, it will tell the 1600 years since its Foundation with a look to the future.
