A dance of solidarity
A performance organized in collaboration with the Venezia Balletto dance school is scheduled for May 12 at the Vivaldi Theater under the support of the City of Jesolo.
The evening has been planned and designed with the aim of raising funds for Just Friends Onlus. The all-volunteer association has charitable purposes and aims to raise funds for children and adolescents suffering from rare genetic diseases. The non-profit organization operates locally and regionally but also makes its mark nationwide.
The lead project, which will start next September in Jesolo, is the pioneering and experimental Just Friends Inclusive Workshop (LIJF) focused on play and sports activities that aim at the social inclusion of children and adolescents with mental and motor disabilities.
The event crosses these aims with a passion for dance: the stars of the evening will be the students of the “Venezia Balletto” school and its official Corps de Ballet, a well-known company that has already performed on several national and international stages.
Among the important names that the academy can boast of there are also those of director Sabrina Massignani, an authoritative choreographer on the Italian scene, teachers Vladimir Derevianko, internationally renowned dance teacher, Sabrina Brazzo, Étoile of the Teatro Alla Scala in Milan and Prima Ballerina at Covent Garden in London, and Andrea Volpintesta Prima Ballerino and Artistic Director of the Jas Art Ballet. An evening that promises to be of a high artistic level in which ballet, contemporary and modern dance will come together for about two hours of dancing and solidarity.
