The city of Jesolo is preparing to celebrate Cao de Ano, or the Veneto New Year.
Cao de Ano is an initiative aimed at the recovery and enhancement of typical customs and traditions of the Veneto region.
In the Piazza del Granatiere, Saturday, Feb. 25 from 6 p.m., there is a rich program of activities including music and cabaret in the Venetian language, tractor exhibition and the ancient tradition of “Bati Marso” during which some young people go around the streets of the village beating pots and pans with force.
Plus traditional Veneto dishes, lots of fun and a splendid fireworks display at the end of the evening. Free and open access.
