“Me & You” the pairs competition arrives in Jesolo.

There is big news in 2023: Jesolo will host the first National Nordic Walking Pairs Technical Contest Event entitled “Io & Te.”

The competition is organized by Asd Outdoor GreenWays, a young association that aims to raise awareness of this specific sport and promote walking in general.

Despite its recent formation, the Founding Members from Asd Outdoor GreenWays have decades of experience in the world of walking and are involved in promoting the outdoor sport. Nordic Walking, or Nordic walking, has been defined as the most efficient and enjoyable workout in the world for increasing physical vigor, improving health and mental vitality.

It is a walk in which the arms push opposite and alternating to the feet, with the help of special sticks, and during the workout the movements involve up to 90 percent of the body’s muscles.

The competition will take place on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at the beautiful setting of the Children’s Rights Park in Ca’Silis.

The course measures about 700 meters, there will be 3 laps and some technical tests of different gaits, specially tabulated and marked, which will be evaluated by Judges of Sports Promotion Bodies (EPS), selected for the event.

The competition is open to all walkers and instructors belonging to Italian Asd practicing Nordic Walking, pairs can be formed between women, men or mixed, with the only distinction by category walkers or instructors.
