VINTAGE INVASION!

The countdown to one of the most polyeric, original and colorful events of the 2023 Jesolo season has begun. The City of Jesolo, the Department of Tourism, the JesoloVenice Tourist Promotion Consortium, Fizzo Entertainment and Naonian s.c. present: JESOLO VINTAGE VILLAGE 2023. Initially conceived as an event dedicated to a gathering of vintage scooters, within a month it has been transformed, enriching itself more and more with whimsical, articulate and spectacular content. Thus was born the first edition of JESOLO VINTAGE VILLAGE 2023, a real village where the common thread is, precisely, vintage. The dates of the event, May 19, 20 and 21, have been appropriately identified in the Ascension weekend, one of the certainly most important and crowded periods in the city. Precisely on those days, in fact, Jesolo marks the “sold out” not only thanks to daily visitors from the hinterland, but also to foreign tourists, especially Germans and Austrians who love vintage. The intention, in the future, is to create a large village where Piazza Mazzini represents the beating heart of an event that can also spread to other spaces in Jesolo such as the Civic Museum of Natural History, the beach and other squares. In short, a Vintage invasion!

The Village will host the following exhibition spaces:

Mazzini Square

Jesolo Scooter Experience, the national Vespa and Lambretta rally, an official date on the SIR (Scooterclub Italiani Riuniti) calendar. Now in its 25th year and organized by Naonian s.c., it will feature 300 vehicles from northern Italy and some European countries.

The Vintage Market, 25 exhibitors from Emilia Romagna, historically the home of vintage enthusiasts. Organized in collaboration with Silent People, the market will bring clothing, accessories, furniture, gifts, design, vinyl records, lots of color and fantasy strictly vintage style to the stalls in the square.

Art Vintage, in collaboration with Treviso Comic Book Festival the most important international drawing and illustration event in the Veneto region. A space in the village where artists and illustrators will create, live, works on the vintage theme.

Auto Vintage Expo, in collaboration with Auto Storiche Jesolo, will display some iconic cars of the time.

The Vintage Street Food Truck area, organized in collaboration with La Terrazzetta and Bicio Personal Barman, is a large area in front of the stage with beautiful and selected vintage trucks that will provide refreshments during the event.

The Vintage Games space, set up in collaboration with DP Games, offers table soccer, games, pinball and tournaments during the event.

The Exhibition of the Vespa Milan-Tokyo, designed ad hoc by Jesolo artist Luca Moretto for his friend Fabio Cofferati, who traveled 15,000 km (the distance between the two cities) accomplishing the feat aboard the Vespa making it an icon in the scooter world.

A space dedicated to the Jesolo Vintage exhibition, black and white shots of beach life, magical nights and VIPs who loved and experienced the Jesolo of yesteryear. Exhibition curated by Esterino Burato.

Vintage Music: a stage will host some DJ’s with live music strictly vintage style. Don’t miss the concert on Saturday, May 20, with the Poisonlvies and the Steady and the concert on Sunday, May 21, a one man show by Andy Mac Farlane, voice and frontman of the Hormonauts.

Vintage Partyes, the stylish Sloo in Mazzini Square will be the designated venue for Friday and Saturday night’s partyes. From 11 p.m. Soul music, Funk, Nothern Soul, Acid Jazz, Ska and others will be the sounds offered by guest DJ’s taking turns at the console. On Sunday 21, however, from 1 p.m. the Break Snack awaits you at Capannina Beach with the vintage sounds of Gibo Rosin, Jesolo’s historic DJ.

Vintage Parade: Sunday, May 21, there will be a parade all along the city streets with Vespas and Lambrettas. After departing from Piazza Mazzini at 10 a.m., the parade will reach Piazza Faro and then head to Piazza del Granatiere, in Cortellazzo, where there will be a brief pit stop-refreshment offered by the Cortellazzo committee. From here it will depart with a gleaming white Cadillac at the head of the procession, which, traveling down the central street, will reach Piazza Mazzini at 12:30 p.m.

Aurora Square

Circus Antilia Vintage: in collaboration with Arteven, Assessorato alla Cultura and Biblioteca Civica di Jesolo, Circus Antilia Vintage will be staged in the charming arena of the square. Three days in which talented circus artists will brighten the afternoons of children and adults with magical and exciting shows with a vintage flavor.

All vintage furnishings and fittings at the JESOLO VINTAGE VILLAGE 2023 are by the Milan-based studio By Cadamura.

More than 100 people will be employed at the Village over the course of the three days.
