Paralympic athletics internationals competition in Jesolo!
From Monday, May 8 to Sunday, May 14, 2023, the “Armando Picchi” stadium in Jesolo Lido will become the setting for the long-awaited athletics competitions including track races, jumps and throws among Paralympic athletes from all over the world, an unmissable event that has already met with great success in past editions.
The Jesolo date is part of the project of WPA (Wold Para Athletics) Grand PRIX, the international paralympic sports committee of excellence that just this year celebrates its 10th anniversary in our city.
It will be an honor for Jesolo to welcome these extraordinary athletes from all over the world to its stadium and in this way represent the fifth stage of a tour with an international following, held this year between the months of February and May.
The event has already passed through Tunisia (Tunis), the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), Morocco (Marrakech), Mexico (Monterrey) and – after Jesolo – will move on to Nottwil in Switzerland. After the opening ceremony, with the arrival of the official delegations of the WPA Grand PRIX, the days between Tuesday and Thursday will be entirely dedicated to the equal opportunity classifications of the athletes.
The program then has in store the competitions that will take place between the days of Friday and Sunday and will conclude with the final awards ceremony.
Admission to the stadium is free.
