The Municipality of Jesolo celebrates National Unity Day and Armed Forces Day,
Friday 4 November at 10.30 a.m. in Piazza Matteotti.
The programme includes the raising of the flag, the laying of the wreath, the throwing of the wreath into the Sile River in honour of the fallen soldiers, and the salute of the authorities.

Representatives of the Children’s Municipal Council and Jesolo schoolchildren will take part in the event, while Jesolo’s Fanfare dei Bersaglieri ‘L. Pellas’ will perform, offering a moment of intra-generational sharing.
Citizens are invited to display the tricolour.

It is also possible to visit the historical-photographic exhibition IL MILITE IGNOTO – Aquileia-Roma: il viaggio della memoria, at the Civic Library of Jesolo, from 22 October to 5 November with free admission.

The exhibition illustrates an important moment in national history such as the journey of the body of the milite ignoto.
