Jesolo is planning a series of events dedicated to Halloween: fancy dress parties, spectacular parties and special workshops for adults and children, where they can meet wizards, witches and the living dead on the scariest night of the year.

 

THE WITCH FESTIVAL – Friday 28 October

The Teatro della Neve proposes, for children aged 6 to 10, a workshop for the construction of paper puppets inspired by the lively and colourful ‘Dia de muertos’, one of the most famous Mexican festivals. The workshop, organised by Marta Padovani, will be held at the Jesolo Civic Library.

STORIES FOR THE FEARLESS – Saturday 29 October

The volunteer readers of the Nati per Leggere project are waiting for all brave children aged 3 to 6 at the Civic Library on Saturday 29 October from 4 p.m. to read together “Stories for those who are not afraid”.

FEAST OF CHESTNUTS – 29 – 30 – 31 October and 1 November

The undisputed queen of autumn, the chestnut will be the delicious protagonist of four unforgettable days in Jesolo.

For the occasion, the central Piazza Mazzini will become a small themed village with a food and wine market, stalls with hot chestnuts, musical entertainment, performances by the best local dance schools, children’s entertainment, and the ever-present merry-go-rounds!

From 12.00 to 23.00 – Free admission

 

HALLOWEEN DANCE CONTEST – Sunday 30 October

At 10.00 a.m. at the Palazzetto dello Sport Elena Cornaro in Jesolo, there will be a day dedicated to dance schools and all dance enthusiasts wishing to celebrate the ‘scariest’ day of the year.

Admission has to be paid; tickets can be purchased on site, subject to availability.

 

A BORGO OF FEAR – Monday 31 October

In the village of Cortellazzo, from 5 p.m., the ancient tradition of the Suche Baruche is re-enacted with an afternoon of fun for children.
Trick or Treat? Bring your carved pumpkin and receive a treat in return!

The event will be held in the garden of the former barracks.

 

HALLOWEEN NIGHT – Mystery Stories – Monday 31 October

An appointment not to be missed, at 9 p.m., with “Mystery Stories” by Nives Carli, Marta Padovani and Walter Sabato.

Readings for adult audiences taken from “I Racconti di Mezzanotte”, broadcast by Radiotre between 1979 and 1987. Free admission, reservation required at serviziculturali@comune.jesolo.ve.it

After the show there will be hot chocolate for everyone!
