The “Jesolo Connected” and “WiFi4Eu” networks become part of the large “Piazza WiFi Italia” family. The project developed by the Ministry of Economic Development and managed by Infratel Italia Spa, aims to create a national network of free wifi access points, integrating existing ones and providing municipalities with new connection points. An advantage also for citizens, who can thus access all available networks throughout Italy through a single app.
Jesolo joins the 3,323 Italian municipalities that have already joined the national network and the system of over 6,536 hotspots which has more than 410,000 users who use the wifi.italia app to connect to the networks. With the entry into the MiSE project, the city of Jesolo will also benefit from the installation of 12 new access points planned in the hamlet of Cortellazzo, today characterized by a high population density and poor internet coverage.
