Two-part reading from the book “Fiore di Roccia”

On the occasion of the International Women’s Rights Day

On March 8, on the occasion of the International Women’s Rights Day, the lecture for two voices is held from the book “Flower of the rock” by Ilaria Tuti.

The actresses Nives Carli and Cecilia Prosperi give life to the courage of the women protagonists of the book, the Bearers.
During the First World War, girls, women and elderly people supported the soldiers by bringing them food and medicines, transporting the wounded… humble peasants with their deeds became real heroines.
Fiore di Roccia is a hymn to these women, it tells of their resilience, of the extraordinary ability to bring life even in the most inaccessible places.

An intense, delicate and powerful story, and at the same time, which tells an often forgotten page of our history.

The reading is accompanied by the live music of Enzo Moretto on the accordion, and by suggestive video projections.

The soldiers gave us a name, as if we were a real military body: we are Carriers, but what we carry is not only life.
