CA’ GAMBA STREET BIKE PATH – EXECUTIVE PROJECT APPROVED

Green light from the city administration.
Everything is ready for the awarding of works and the construction site of the work, financed almost entirely by PNRR funds.

New step forward for the construction of the Ca’ Gamba street bike path. The municipal administration has approved the resolution containing the executive project of the long-awaited public work, intended to provide an additional and convenient connection between the historic center and the lido for velocipedes. This step is crucial and preparatory to the construction site of the work, which will, however, be preceded by the awarding of the work through a public tender.

The new track will be built on the east side, the one facing the Pineta, and will be about 2 kilometers long, from the intersection with Via Goldoni to Via Corer, where it will join the (already existing) bicycle path on Via Danimarca, which continues, then, in two directions along Via Martin Luther King to the west, and along Via Papa Luciani to the east. The work, which also includes the construction of a footbridge over the Fornazzi canal, will start from the northern section and continue toward the lido.

The work will cost a total of 3.3 million euros, financed almost entirely with funds from the National Resilience Recovery Plan (NRP). Another substantial contribution will come, however, from the Veneto Region. European funds, to be precise, will cover the expenditure for € 2,854,580 while regional funds will add another € 300,000. All this will result in a total expenditure for the municipality of about € 145,000.
